the stars go into hiding
until night returns
dawn chorus wakes me
nature’s beautiful alarm
blank canvas of day
What light in the East
Warms my face and starts my day.
Quiet hope brewing.

Quiet street birds sing
Slow tea warm sun Quiet in breath

Sunrises cast their colours

Stillness envelopes,
Breathless quiet before dawn
Then the beginning
golden rays of light
break barriers for new days
the light will shine through
inspecting the dawn
steaming coffee to my lips
distant dogs barking
Dawn soothes the body
Her Air meets the Lights caress
The new day begins
daybreak comes bringing
another 24 hours
of beautiful life
